Alchemy: The Mead Haze is Notably Less
Published at : September 11, 2021
Since this was racked for the second time on July 31st (this video is from Sept 8th), there has been a lot of clearing and no fining agents used at all.
It'll be racked this coming weekend (11th-12th), potassium sorbate added to kill the last bit of yeast before a potential back-sweetening. No need kicking off another round of fermentation.
I suspect it will need a wee bit of added honey as it was pretty dry and a not overly sweet way back in July. And by not overly sweet I mean bordering on the sharp edge of tart.
Nicely cleared, nonetheless. Woohoo!
